One week from today, I’ll have arrived in Anaheim to attend the 2009 Winter NAMM Show.

This will be my 12th straight year attending, my 9th where I’m taking pictures to share with the non-attending public. In case you missed it, you can catch my pictures from 2001-2008 here under “NAMM”. So, this year will be a little different.

One of the reasons I started this blog was so that my NAMM coverage could have more context than pictures alone can provide. I can post here easily from my phone, and will be doing so from the NAMM show floor. In past years I’ve set up server-side technology that makes it easy to upload a bunch of high-resolution pictures and let the server resize and generate galleries. This will continue to make providing images from the show floor quick and easy to share. Lastly, I’ll have a (fairly low quality) video camera on hand for those moments that only video can capture.

I’m not entirely certain about that last bit, as I don’t have the streamlined toolchain and such for video that I do for pictures, so we’ll just have to see how it goes.

But in short, it’s my goal to provide much more in-depth coverage this year than at previous shows. I’m probably insane to try to do all this as a one-man operation, but what the hell, it’s worth a shot.
