I thought I should post this, since this blog just got matrixsynth-ed…

My first post should not be read as a rant against any of the synth-aggregator blogs like matrixsynth. If I had a real problem with that site, I wouldn’t have sent so much content that way over the years. It was really just to explain why I created yet another blog on the pile, where none really need one.

So let me rephrase, this blog is here because simply throwing pictures, video, audio up on flickr, fdiskc, youtube, etc and letting the aggregators pick it up strips the media of any backstory or useful information. Consider this a funnel for the media content I generate, whose purpose is to keep that backstory and information coupled with the content, content which will, ultimately, still be consumed by most people on the big aggregators like matrixsynth.

You needed another synth-blog, didn’t you? Of course you did.

I’ve been a content-generator for these things since before any of the synth-blogs existed, so I figured it’s time to stop tossing my stuff their way to be posted with very little context, and post it here instead (where it will then be picked up and read by the majority of it’s consumers elsewhere). But, with luck, there will be a bit more context available.

I don’t have a whole lot of spare time, so if you see a post here, it’s probably something I made/photographed/recorded myself and felt like sharing, rather than something I dug up elsewhere.

I’m writing this, but I know it’s unlikely anyone will read it for awhile, but it felt right to make a “first post!” sort of thing. Booga booga!
